## Cost of Ownership

- **Electricity in BC:** roughly $10 to $40 per month depending on season and whether the
  spa is running on 110V or 220V. A traditional acrylic hot tub with a foam cover typically
  runs $25 to $75 per month. Based on BC Hydro Step 1 and Step 2 rates of 10.97 and 14.08
  cents per kilowatt hour.
- **Cover replacement:** none. A conventional foam-core cover absorbs water and needs
  replacing every three to six years at around $800 each time. The Eco Spa hard cover is
  warrantied for life.
- **Chemicals:** minimal. Ecozone does the majority of the sanitising, and the maintenance
  routine is a personal template built with you at delivery.
