What is ozone and why use it in a hot tub?

Ozone is activated oxygen. It oxidises contaminants on contact, roughly 3,000 times faster than chlorine, and then reverts to ordinary oxygen instead of accumulating in the water. That is the key difference: it does its job and leaves, rather than building up as dissolved solids.

Does Ecozone mean no chemicals at all?

No, and we will not claim that. You still carry a small sanitiser residual and you still balance the water. What changes is the scale of the job: ozone does the heavy oxidising, so the routine drops to a few minutes a month rather than a weekly chore.

Is Ecozone included or is it an upgrade?

It is an upgrade on most models and included on the Deluxe models. If low maintenance is the reason you are buying, it is the single upgrade we would push you towards.

How do I know how much to add?

Our team builds a personal maintenance template with you at delivery, based on your fill water, your model and how you actually use the tub. A generic dosing chart is worse than useless because those variables move.
