Chilliwack sits at the eastern end of the Fraser Valley and gets a wider temperature spread than the coast: hotter summers, and colder snaps in winter than Vancouver sees. A hot tub handles both, but the swing is a reason to care about insulation rather than to worry.

In summer the practical consequence is that you will barely spend anything holding temperature.
