A Two-Person Tub in a Three-Person Body
The E5 is the model people miss. It occupies the same 77" by 60" footprint as the E3 and E4, holds slightly more water at 240 gallons, and seats 2. That is deliberate. Every inch of a 32.1 square foot shell is given to two people instead of three or four.
If you have room for an E3 but the tub is genuinely for two of you, this is the better buy. More space per person, more jet coverage per person, and the same yard footprint you were already planning for.
Performance Series
The E5 opens the Performance tier, which is where the jet arrangement changes character. 21+ jets across 2 seats is a different experience from the same count spread across four, and it is the first model where an Exterior Lighting Package is on the options list.
If you want that pushed further, the E5 Deluxe takes the same shell to 35 jets and adds the Aurora Lighting System, which is exclusive to the Deluxe models, for $2,000 more.
240 Gallons and What It Buys
At 240 gallons the E5 carries slightly more water than the E3 in the same footprint, because the seating uses the volume differently. More water means more thermal mass: marginally longer to bring up from a cold fill, and marginally more stable overnight under the R-40 cover. For a tub held at temperature year round, which is how most BC owners run one, stability is the side of that trade you want.
Roughly $10 to $40 a month in BC depending on season and on 110V versus 220V. It ships wired for both.
Deck Load
Filled with two adults in it, the E5 works out to about 2,837 lbs across 32.1 square feet, roughly 88 lbs per square foot. That is the lowest concentrated load of any tub on this shell, simply because it carries two people rather than four. On grade it is a non-issue and no concrete pad is needed. E5 or E3?
Same footprint, $700 apart. Take the E3 if a third person will regularly be in the tub or you want the 23-jet arrangement across mixed lounge and bucket seating. Take the E5 if it is the two of you and you would rather have the room. Neither is a compromise: they are the same shell answering different households, which is the honest way to describe most of this lineup.
