The E7, Built Out
The E7 DLux is the new E7 shell taken as far as it goes. Same 77" square footprint, same 33.5" depth, same 290 gallons, 635 lbs dry. What changes is everything that moves water: 40 jets instead of 28, an economical variable-speed pump, and pre-programmable custom massage patterns, so you can set a sequence once and come back to it.
The variable-speed pump is the part you notice first. Most of the time it runs low and quiet rather than flat out, and it ramps up when you ask it to. That is where both the quiet operation and the efficiency come from.
Who Should Buy It
Someone buying a hot tub for a back, a set of knees or a training load as much as for the view, who wants a full-size tub for up to four. 40 jets across one to four seats is the densest jet coverage in a large Eco Spa. If you want the same shell and seating with less hardware and the option of plugging into a standard outlet, the E7 is the version to look at. If you need six or seven seats, the E6 Deluxe is the large-capacity performer.
Running It
A one-piece HDPE shell under an R-40 rigid hard cover holds heat well through a BC winter, and the variable-speed pump keeps the ongoing number down because it spends most of its time at low speed. Expect roughly $10 to $40 a month in BC, depending on the season, where you live and how often you use it.
Unlike the standard E7, the DLux is a 220V tub. It is hardwired at install, which also means the heater is not competing with the pump for the same power budget. See hot tub electrical requirements before you book the electrician.
Deck Load and Access
The method, so you can check it: 290 gallons at 8.34 lbs per gallon is about 2,419 lbs of water. Add the 635 lb dry weight and four adults at 180 lbs each and the occupied tub comes to roughly 3,774 lbs. Over 41.2 square feet that is about 92 lbs per square foot. On grade, compacted gravel, pavers or a patio it needs no concrete pad. On a raised deck, have the structure checked first. Can a deck support a hot tub? covers how.
With the hard cover on, it measures 79" x 79" x 44". Measure the narrowest point on the delivery path and send us photos before ordering. Delivery day explains what we look for.
Make It Yours
Same shell finishes, panel colours and stacked stone or rattan panel styles as the rest of the range. Ecozone natural sanitation, WiFi control and the Interior Mood Lighting System are quoted per order. Ask about current show offers, which sometimes include Ecozone.
What Every Model Shares
The one-piece HDPE shell, the R-40 lifetime hard cover, the lifetime shell warranty, 5x filtration and no concrete pad are identical on the E7 DLux and the E1. You are buying jets and pump up the range, never durability.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the E7 and the E7 DLux?

Does the E7 DLux need 220V?
Yes. The E7 DLux runs on 220V and is hardwired at install. If you want to plug into a standard outlet, the standard E7 ships wired for both 110V and 220V.
Can a deck hold the E7 DLux?
Filled and occupied by four adults it comes to roughly 92 lbs per square foot. On grade, gravel or pavers it needs no pad. On a raised deck, get a structural opinion first.
