Kootenays, BC
A mountain town on Kootenay Lake with real snow and steep streets. Eco Spa hot tubs deliver to Nelson from our BC showrooms.
Built for Nelson
Nelson sits on a hillside above Kootenay Lake, with heritage streets that climb steeply from the waterfront up through Uphill and Rosemont. Winters here bring real, sustained snow, more than most of the Okanagan sees, and outdoor gear needs to actually hold up to it.
The HDPE shell does not absorb water, so there is nothing inside it to freeze and crack when a hard Kootenay cold snap sets in. The R-40 hard cover is rated to carry snow load, which matters on a Nelson deck through a normal winter, not just an unusually bad one.
A lot of Nelson properties are on a slope, with a deck or a terraced yard rather than a flat lawn. The Eco Spa's small footprint and light weight over its base fit into that kind of lot without an engineered pad, and the 110V start skips the electrician trip up a steep street.

Local Notes
Nelson's hillside streets and heritage lots mean a lot of properties do not have a flat, open backyard to work with, more often it is a deck, a terraced garden, or a narrow side yard. Because the Eco Spa does not need a concrete pad or a crane, it can usually go somewhere a traditional install could not.
If you are out past town toward Balfour or across on the North Shore, the Kootenay Lake ferry is part of daily life, and it is worth mentioning when you book delivery so we can plan the route and timing around it rather than around a fixed schedule that does not account for it.
In most cases, yes. Because there is no concrete pad or crane involved, the Eco Spa can usually sit on a level section of deck or a terraced spot that a traditional install could not use. Send us photos and we will confirm before you order.
It just means we plan around the ferry rather than a fixed arrival window. Let us know you are on that side of the lake when you order and we will build the route accordingly.
Yes, it carries a 350 lb load rating, built to be walked and stood on with snow accumulated on top. You should still clear heavy buildup periodically, the same as you would with a deck.
